Family Time and Memories
Good Morning, Menopause Maniacs!
Tomorrow’s Father’s Day, but I’m treating it as a special Son’s Day. My darling boy is a father, as well, after all, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Grandma’s going to include herself in his special day! We’ve got a special cook-out day planned, where my beautiful daughter-in-law will be in charge of the grill, so he can kick his feet up and relax.
But these days haven’t always been such pictures of familial bliss. The Menopause Witch had me quite possessed when I first moved in with my son and his family, and I can honestly say that my daughter-in-law wanted nothing to do with me. There was an awful lot of strife in our interpersonal dynamic and I can’t imagine how that affected their marriage.
I’m tremendously glad that those times are behind us now — mostly, anyway! I still have my Witchy moments, but they’re thankfully rare and the family understands them. And just look how lovely life is now!
I hope that any of you who are living with your own Witches can take heart in stories like this. You will get through it, and you’ll see less and less of your Witch. The fog will lift and then, oh how the sun will shine!
Until next time,
