Giving Advice to Others
Okay, I’m really excited right now. Why? I’ll tell you why! I get to be a mentor! XD
Alright, so that might be glamorizing it a bit. But, still, I’m happy. It’s just too bad that it has to be at a friend’s expense.
Okay, okay, so I’ll explain myself. A good girlfriend of mine is starting to get the flashes! That’s right – I’m not going to be the only one in my circle of friends on the Peri-Go-Round anymore! And, even better, she’s being totally great with coming to me for advice. 🙂
So, I get to be the spout of wisdom for a while. Of course, she’ll be talking to her doctor, too, but it’s pretty great to have a friend that you can go to and talk about everything, don’t you think? None of my friends really understood any of it before.
And, yeah. I do feel a little bad about celebrating her hot flashes. I really don’t wish them on her (or anyone!) but I’m still so glad to have this connection. We’re going to have to have a hot-flash party, or something. A party of two, with the thermostat set way down low. You know it’ll be fun. 🙂
