Menopause in Your 40s: Hot Flashes

In the time it takes for the clock to go tick-tock – your body can go from hot to cold and back again. The on-again, off-again tug of war you have with your blankets, sweaters, fan and ice-packs can be attributed to the the most cited symptom of perimenopause and menopause: hot flashes. You can minimize the constant fluctuations by avoiding some common triggers:

  • Spicy foods

  • Caffeine

  • Hot beverages

  • Alcohol
