Menopause in Your 40s: Joint Pain


Approximately 40 percent of women approaching menopause experience joint pain and, unfortunately, experts and doctors do not know why. However you can ease the pain or the potential for pain by supplementing a combination of EPA and DHA found in fish oil. Susan Dopart, M.S., R.D. tells Family Circle “”Ease the pain by taking omega-3 fish oil supplements with 500 to 1,000 mg of DHA and EPA [combined], which help reduce inflammation.”
